Victor Harbour to Home

We stopped in at the Holden museum at Buronga, outskirts of Mildura. The museum had very good examples of early holdens.
The weather stabilised as we followed the country roads through to Junee where we stopped in at the Junee Licorice factory, very interesting. Made our way out to the highway and then home.

Oodnadatta to Victor Harbour

We spent the next few days in Hawker SA. Visited some friends from home and had a great time catching up over dinner at the local pub. we also went through the Jeff Morgan Gallery and saw his amazing murals. A trip to Jarvis Hill lookout was next where the climb to the top was through large rocks and trees where we arrived at an amazing view of the township and valley.

We then journeyed through the flinders and made our way to Adelaide where we caught up with family friends and had a lovely meal while chatting about family and old times.

A visit to Haigh's chocolate factory and a tour, well what more can I say but yum. Next was a drive through the Adelaide hills with the amazing views to Mount Lofty, where we had lunch. Mount Lofty is 710m above sea level and overlooks the city of Adelaide, a 34m high fire tower was erected in 1982 to spot bushfires and is still used today.

Our travels then took us to Victor Harbour and we visited Granite Island via a horse drawn tram but was cut short when it started to rain, we then spent the afternoon watching whales frollick in the bay near Port Elliot in between showers.
