Kununura WA

Had a lovely time exploring Litchfield NP , although the Renolds River was closed due to flooding so that cut short that part of the park. Travelled across towards Western Australian border then spent a couple of fantastic days at Lake Argyle, with its fascinating history and huge lake , we went on a sunset cruise on the lake, wonderful . Then on to Kununura where we camped at Lakeside Tourist Park . Found a spot right on the waters edge, we had just set up camp when a guy from the park asked if we wanted to go for a ride in the hire boat for free , as he had to rescue another hire boat stranded up river . We jumped at the offer , little did we know that the guy did not know how to drive the boat very well , so we all pitched in with the rescue,  it took a couple of hours to tow the " S.S. Minow" back and have Gilligan safe on shore. Then it was off to explore Kununura and the surrounding Wyndham area. We head off today on the Gibb River Road to Home Valley Station.

  1. HI Guys, Looks like you are having a great trip so far. Bad news about the muffler, hope it is now fixed. Hate you Laurie, swimming in the middle of winter as we are cold, wet and miserable down here. It is great seeing some of the places we visited on our trip around Aus. We are lucky that we live in a great country, with such beautiful scenery. In case I don't get back to you before the 4th., hope you have a fantastic birthday Judy, we will be thinking of you. Travel safe and just remember Laurie your favourite Red car is still waiting for you when you return. Ha Ha you were hoping to forget about it while you were away, do you think I was going to let you have a complete holiday without it coming back to haunt you. Sorry mate. Best wishes to you both. Barb & Warwick
