Home

The weather has been great as we start heading down to South Australia . first stop is Marla where the weather has taken a turn for the worst , it started to blow and has gotten quite cold so we pushed on to Port Augusta where it started to rain so it wasn't till Renmark where we thought we had dodged the storms and stayed in a van park on the Murray River . It was a really nice park and had a waterfront outlook. Then the storms came again .  We were in and out of storms until we reached home.  This is the end of a fantastic trip , what an adventure, great people, great places.

Ayres Rock

Ayres Rock and Yulara, what fascinating places we are camped at Yulara and it is a town with a police station , fire station , supermarket, post office, speciality shops and resturants . The camp ground is huge and is full most of the time , there is so much to do here. the drive out to Ayres rock is about 15 k's and everyone goes out at sunset. We did the drive to the Olga's about 40k's  they also are amazing. Went out to the camel farm which a good place to visit (wish we had more time) there is so much to do out here.

Alice Springs

Our plans changed as the Tanami road was closed due to rain, so we headed to the stuart highway. We came from Timber Creek down the Buchanan Highway through Top Springs to Dunmarra, then down to Alice Springs  where we arrived just in time for the Camel Cup. It was a lot of fun.  Started today with free pancakes for  breakfast before a long visit to the Transport Hall of Fame , very interesting. Then exploring Alice for the day.

Then the next day we did the southern section. very impressive , walked around the beehive shaped domes and into what is called the cathedral

Broome W.A.

We have had a wonderful time in Broome , with a sunset camel ride on cable beach, trip to Willie Creek pearl farm, Malcolm Douglas' wildlife park, trip to the Horizontal Falls, and several drives on cable beach with the 4wd at sunset, just to name a few. There is so much to do, Broome is a lovely place. With our time up here we head off to Fitzroy Crossing tomorrow.
