Home to Lismore

Left early Saturday morning, winter hasn’t quite set in yet so it was quite pleasant, the traffic was light as we Heading up towards Newcastle with a slight detour out to East Branxton and called in for a chat and a  cuppa with Shae and the girls.
Back on the road heading north, we made our way up to Wauchope with another slight detour to visit old family friends Marg and Barry. It was wonderful to catch up and we all had a lot to talk about as the afternoon soon dwindled and we were invited to stay the night with the motive to chat some more.
After a great evening and a good nights sleep the reminiscing continued into the morning and soon we had to get back on the road north stopping of for a look at South West Rocks.
Lovely little spot on the beach although would be very touristy in season.
The main highway, the M1 was quite new in places but it has bypassed all the small towns, not so good for them as they loose a lot of tourist trade.  There is a lot of bridges being built and major road works around Grafton to Woodburn, I guess it’s progress.
