Derby to Broome

Arrived at Derby and booked into the Kimberley Entrance caravan park and headed straight for the laundry to get some washing done. and have a clean up after all the dust of the Gibb.
then it was down to the wharf to have a look around and get our fish and chips.
Found out there were 2 other Aussie Swag campers not far from us at the park, one from Bega and the other from Vic.
Then it was on the phone trying to find accomodation in Broome , as the races were on and so was  staircase to the moon . so everything is booked out,  oh and the school holidays are on.
We managed to get a site at the Broome Caravan park, they were very helpfull, we got a site for a week.
got set up then organised our camel ride and found out what else we could do. Broome was extremely busy everywhere. All the parks are booked out every night.
Did our sunset camel ride which was fabulous and the weather was great. we also had a trip on the Broome hovercraft eco Adventure tour , it was fantastic, saw the dinosaur footprints which was very interesting and to see how the hovercraft works, was amazing. Ran into old travel friends from Perth so we had a few drinks chatting over old times, it was great to catch up with them.
